Mighty music!
Children love music, and music is a huge part of what we do.
Children are drawn naturally to music, but what they don’t know is that music provides them with the critical skills they need to support their development and a love for learning. It can help the brain process language, improve memory, and develop the ability to focus.
Our shows come to life with the help of original music, written specifically to complement our stories and our performances. As well as forming an integral part of all our shows, we also offer music in the form of workshops, or you can hire our talented band, The Marvellous Things, for your own event.
The Marvellous Things
Our three (or sometimes four!) piece band specialise in the performance of exceptional original music and songs for children. We offer musical storytelling sessions, sing-a-long sessions, music creation workshops, workshops for children with special needs, and fully inclusive and accessible choir workshops.
Our musical children’s workshops are usually themed around the Sir Charlie Stinky Socks stories, such as dinosaurs, knights and castles, pirates, Ancient Egypt, or magical monsters!
